THINK EVIL, BREED EVIL, and CONTROL ALL - Overlord: Raising Hell, the groundbreaking Action RPG set in a seriously warped fantasy world, has now arrived to PlayStation 3. With plenty of black humour and dark irony, this game immerses the player in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters. Your word is law as you become the all powerful Overlord, a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of the evil after being raised from the dead. The game¿s key innovation is the introduction of an array of impish creatures - the Minions. Accompanied by a horde of these slavishly loyal rascals, the Overlord plays dirty tricks on anything that moves to become even more powerful. The gremlin-like critters will follow your every instruction no matter how despotic or, for the Minions, life threatening it is. The PlayStation 3 version of this game allows you to explore and conquer 5 extra supernatural realms. Defend the Overlord’s tower against waves of enemy attack with seven additional online multiplayer maps, including the competitive ‘Capture the Maiden’ map and ‘Protect Your Power’. The Challenge Pack also introduces a ‘Legendary’ mode, which challenges you by using your most aggressive minion managing skills to complete the single-player game under exceptional circumstances. The PlayStation 3 edition includes 7.1 Surround Sound, screen hints, tactics and tips and an onscreen mini-map making it easier to navigate around the world of the Overlord. Be evil… or really evil with Overlord - it’s time to raise hell.

The Overlord is back to cause even more trouble in Overlord Raising Hell - the anarchic action RPG title, set in a seriously warped fantasy world. Even better, it debuts on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system with a devilish array of hot new content. Overlord Raising Hell immerses you in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios, featuring angry dwarves, wimpy elves and messed up zombies.

A shocker! Great game
I managed to play this on the XBOX and wasnt expecting much - but oh was I wrong! Simple controls, great game play and overall, a lot of fun. Its a lot of fun to play Overlord.
It offers something different with hints of RPG and controlling the crazy minions is a blast! I recommend it highly

worth the money me thinks!
ok, ive only played the demo from the playstation network (free to download from the playstation store) and its bassicly the training mission (which is tied into the game, not an optional level) and next mission in which to test my new ’skills’. This game is fantastic, its fun to watch your ‘minions’ destroy things at your command, the plot is good (so far) and has a jokey feel to it.
The control system to manage your minions is very good, one button and to send them to where you are looking and do what they should depending on what your looking at: destroy, collect or move object. Or you can manually control them as a horde with the left stick; usefull for complex routes or steering them clear of a fire you have just caused or whatever. The AI of the minions is impressive, not amazing but fits what you would expect of a minion; they get the jist of what you want to do, just dont expect spectacular results as they are minions, no more. they also arm them selves with items they find such as sticks from broken items or a pumpkin head for a helmet…i mention the minions alot as they are a key part of the game.
You can join in at anypoint though, you are armed with an axe (of large proportions in the demo) and as i said, you can join in with your minions or go alone to carve your self a victory against whatever you feel should be destroyed: monsters, soldiers, villegers, sheep, pumpinks; whatever takes your fancy really.
I recomend getting the demo if you can from the ps3 store, just incase, but after playing the demo i can safely say: ITS WORTH THE MONEY! its one of the best games for the Ps3 so far, along with GTA, kane and lynch and condemned 2.
